1. What Are Cookies?

Our use of cookies is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA). Under PECR we must tell you about the cookies we use and what they do, and obtain your consent before placing any non-essential cookie on your device. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement. The DUAA added a further exemption for certain analytics cookies that have no adverse impact on user privacy. Where cookies collect personal data, that processing is also governed by the UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.

3. The Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies only. The Platform currently sets strictly necessary cookies only. These are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as logging in or submitting a form. Without them the Platform cannot operate.

Consent required: No.

3.2 No analytics, functional or advertising cookies. We do not set analytics, advertising or attribution cookies, and we do not permit third parties to set cookies on the Platform. The theme preference above is stored only because you asked for it and is not used for anything else. Because no cookie requiring consent is set, no cookie banner is shown.

3.3 If that changes. If we introduce any non-essential cookie in future, including analytics, preference or advertising and attribution cookies, we will update this Policy first, list each cookie here, identify any analytics cookie that falls within the DUAA exemption, and, for every cookie that requires consent, obtain it through a cookie banner before the cookie is placed and let you change your choice at any time through cookie settings on the Platform.

4. Browser Settings

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to log in or use parts of the Platform.

5. Cookies and Personal Data

The strictly necessary cookies above process a session identifier and login security tokens, which may constitute personal data. The lawful basis for that processing is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): operating a secure, functioning service. Cookies are not used to identify any natural person by facial or biometric means. No cookie on the Platform processes photographs, Character Sheets or any data derived from them.

6. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy on the Platform and, where a change introduces a cookie that requires consent, by introducing a cookie banner. The effective date at the top of this Policy will be updated accordingly.
